Re: Casey Jones TDIH |
One of my favorite shows...Casey Jones is great, check out the revival of Dupree's...Second Set is as lysergic as 77 gets...

Re: Casey Jones TDIH |
Super-cool CASEY. rather than forge ahead not knowing the words to the next verse Jerry and Keith go on extended jamming til Jerry remembers...makes it if not the best version one of the Top 3 ever. Wish Jer (and Bob) had done that more often when the words escaped them.
Look also for a simply killer LET IT GROW. Fantastic '77 show. (Most were ;-)

Re: Casey Jones TDIH |
This really is far and away the best version of this song; I can't really think of any that are even in the same ballpark. "Jammed out" isn't a phrase I normally associate with "Casey Jones" but this one definately is.
I've written a couple of times before about why I think this show is so special so I won't go into it again, suffice it to say that you really can't have a serious discussion on '77 without mentioning this gem frequently.

Re: Casey Jones TDIH |
What is it w/ The Paramount Theater I keep finding grate shows from this place? The last one for me was 1972-07-25 second set The Other One >Wharf Rat w/ a Lesh solo sandwiched in the middle. Too Much!
